● Amazon’s Ring is increasing the price of its Basic subscription from $4 to $5 per month, with no additional benefits added.
● The Basic plan only covers one camera, and each camera requires a subscription to save and record videos.
● Users with two or more cameras may be better off with the Ring Protect Plus plan, which now costs $10 per month or $100 per year.
● Google also raised its cheapest Nest Aware plan from $6 to $8 per month, making it a better option for new users who haven’t bought any hardware.
● Other options for cloud storage and camera subscriptions include Blink, Wyze, and Apple HomeKit Secure Video with an iCloud+ subscription.
